Recovery Report November 11, 2007
![]()
Good Morning Kiwanis,
As usual things are boiling out of the pot as fast as we can cover them.
As of last night this is the picture as we see it:
The State Senator’s office has requested that Kiwanis provide volunteers to keep the following relief centers open for the next 3 weeks or so:
1) Potrero Volunteer Fire Station on Community Center Road:
a. Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays 10 am – 2 pm & 2 pm – 6 pm with 2 people/shift beginning Friday, November 9th
2) Deerhorn Valley Relief Station on Honey Springs Road
a. Daily from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. & 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. with 2 people/shift beginning Monday, November 19th for approximately 3 weeks.
3) Dulzura Fire Station on Highway 94
a. Daily from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. & 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. with 2 people/shift beginning Tuesday, November 20th for approximately 3 to 4 weeks.
Although this is a Division-wide request, the two closest clubs are already burned out from providing staffing to these centers since the fire.
Yours in Service,
Bob Jackson
Fire Recovery Coordinator
